Cotton Yarn Prices in Pakistan

2 January 2009 - Optimism is back on Pakistan's cotton yarn market , at least for a while. Demand for cotton yarns was stronger in the past period, thanks to a fall in the rupee and a continued strength in cotton prices. The lack of energy also resulted in much lower yarn production therefore stimulating prices. Blended polyester-cotton yarn prices however slightly declined in the past weeks, our Pakistan Correspondent reports.

India Spun Yarn Export Market Prices

23 December 2008 - Spun yarn export prices are falling again in India, especially for cotton and polyester-cotton yarns, according to statistical tables released by our India Correspondent. The business is becoming extremely difficult for exporters, with buyers now renegotiating orders to take advantage of lower prices. Government incentives are not offering enough support to the cotton textile industry, according to exporters.
