JJ Fabrics has a portfolio of 500 looms including Power, Auto and Sulzer looms fitted with auxiliary equipments to produce from 1/1 plain to dobbies, jacquards and seersucker. The Quality Assurance Department approves only the Finest Fibers in every warp and weft and then supervises the accuracy and mending of loom state fabric, so that only the A Grade fabric is processed.
Stitching units are equipped with more than 100 latest machines with automatic tools and accessories to produce diversified range of Made-Ups. The QA Department for stitching unit covers the entire stitching process. It has very tough criteria for the approval of fabric and stitching accessories. Quality Assurance functions are performed by means of in-line checking as well as post sewing checking. QA Department concentrates on maintaining elegance and top quality standards.

Asad Umer Tells Senate that Tax reforms to be introduced to broaden tax base

Finance Minister of Pakistan Mr Asad Umar said that the tax reforms strategy will be introduced by the government of Pakistan to increase tax base in the country. Asad Umer said this during the question hour at Senate session, which was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Mr Saleem Mandviwalla. He said that the new FBR chairman has been appointed and next week a meeting will be held with the FBR officials to discuss implementation of the reforms strategy in Pakistan. He said currently one million people are filling their tax returns and there is a room to further enhance the figure to about three million. The finance minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a high level meeting on Monday to discuss issues relating to currency smuggling and money service providers. Textile Trade Protectionism May Rapidly Spread In 2009

4 February 2009 - There are new signs emerging of rampant textile trade protectionism, as a result of falling export sales in Asia, Latin America, and elsewhere in the world. Import restrictions were recently imposed by Argentine, Turkey, Indonesia or Egypt while a series of anti-dumping investigations were being launched on the polyester market. The most controversial development could however affect the United States where a Buy American provision was introduced in the Obama Stimulus Plan for restricting procurement of certain uniforms to only 100% US goods.
