China Unveils Long-Term Textile Plan

5 February 2009 - China's government Wednesday unveiled an ambitious program for relaunching domestic textile and apparel industries. Only including a 1% rise in export rebates, this is not the expected textile bailout plan but a series of five long-term objectives are being clearly defined in order to exit the current crisis.

Finance Minister of Pakistan Mr Asad Umar said that the tax reforms strategy will be introduced by the government of Pakistan to increase tax base in the country. Asad Umer said this during the question hour at Senate session, which was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Mr Saleem Mandviwalla.
